Original Item: One Only. An excellent all brass French Fire Service Helmet along the lines of the French Adrian Steel Helmet design. Complete with Helmet plate showing a Castle over Flaming Grenade all beneath a brass band "SEAPEUIRS POMPIERS D'INGERSHEIM". Fitted with the Original Leather adjustable liner and brown leather Chin Strap with brass buckle. Plume holder on left hand side for parade use. This model saw actual fire fighting service pretty much up until WW2 and thereafter only for ceremonial purposes. Unusual and very decorative, already over 100 years in age.
